Bill, I agree with Michael on this one. Competent and dedicated EDA
employees have been responsible for a lot of what is good that has come out
of DASC and its working groups over the years. I do have a concern that no
one or two EDA vendors swamp the DASC in order to have undue influence, but
I'm not sure we can prevent that in the short term simply by putting rules
into place. Media exposure and user pressure would be much more effective.
