Peter,
This certainly seems like a cool idea to increase
the revenue for a given standards product.
Are they proposing to share the revenue with the
working groups who put forth the effort to write
the additional materials? The working groups
need funding to help support working group tasks
such as technical editors and purchasing additional
services from IEEE-SA.
These are good ideas, perhaps DASC WGs would want to
develop and sell this type of material separately as
a way to fund WG activity and to demonstrate the
commercial relevance of a standard.
