Ok, I think I understand this now, and I've taken the liberty of
translating it into Plain English. Perhaps I could suggest that we
instead vote on this simplified motion:
--------------------------------
2. The DASC recognises that the SA has hit upon a clever wheeze by
creating a new class of 'entity' members and allowing them to set up
their own private standards, for payment of a large fee. We would like a
slice of this action, and to this end we propose that:
- We should ask the SA, nicely, if they could possibly let us have
some of these new fees instead of greedily keeping it all for themselves;
- Of course, it would be vulgar to directly ask for money, so we
should instead (nicely) suggest to the SA that entities should be given
the choice of paying their money either to the SA or to ourselves, and
that those who choose to pay us should be given full rights anyway;
- We recognise that this is a tricky proposition, so we should dress
this up a bit by creating our own class of entity members, and awarding
a free membership to anyone who would rather pay their money over to the SA;
- Of course, we don't really want entity members anyway, so we'll give
them the same voting rights as individual members, and hope that they
won't notice.
