2. That:
    - DASC entity membership be extended to IEEE-SA Corporate members,
and
    - entities be allowed DASC membership at the same fee structure used
for IEEE-SA corporate membership and with a number of DASC
individual
memberships equal to the number of SA individual memberships
granted
      to SA corporate members
      (see http://standards.ieee.org/sa-mem/corporate.html), and
    - the DASC request IEEE-SA to mutually extend membership to DASC
entity
      members.

     ____ Negative (no comment)

Comments:

There has been no compelling justification for doubling dues in this
endless stream of emails. Travel cost should not be covered by dues.

I have never known corporate clout to increase efficiency in a
standardization project. Companies can reimburse as many individual
employees for dues as they see fit, and then let each person vote his or
her conscience based on facts freely presented in an open forum. This
requires no rules change.

Judging from the endless non-converging arguments broadcast, it seems
prudent to schedule a plenary session at a convenient time for the
majority of members to allow give and take debate in an open forum,
hopefully leading to consensus, or at worst enabling informed and timely
decisions based on facts, not emotion.
