Dear Members of the DASC Steering Committee,
I am somewhat concerned with the scope and purpose of this proposed PAR. I
am aware, as I am sure most of you are, that there are more verification
languages in use today than e. Is it wise to base a standard development
effort on e alone? What about Vera, or Specman? What about assertion
languages? Are they contributing to a "Verification Language"? If the
answer is affirmative to any of these questions are we running the risk to
work on a standard that will have undesirable consequences in the industry
effectively polarizing it?
